OUR STORY
Welcome to Darby’s Tavern, located in the original estate kitchen at Berry Hill, dating back to 1790. The fireplaces that once prepared meals for the Bruce family still stand prominently in each room, surrounded by antique floors and tin tables that give the tavern its unmistakable character.
The menu carries that history forward with Southern and Creole favorites inspired by dishes once prepared by Darby, Berry Hill’s original cook and the namesake of the tavern. Alongside some of the best burgers in South Boston, guests can enjoy a full selection of wines and spirits, unique beers on tap, and an extensive selection of craft brews.
Settle in for a meal, a drink, or a game of billiards. Darby’s also features a Wi-Fi jukebox, private dining room for parties and events, and outdoor courtyard dining when the weather is nice.

Darby's Tavern outdoor courtyard seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
PARTY ROOM & LARGE GROUPS
Darby's Tavern's back room is available on a first-come, first-served basis for groups of 15 or smaller.
For private events and celebrations, the back room can be reserved in advance. Please call for reservations.

Busy tavern at Berry Hill Resort. Ate here two times and both were enjoyable. Entrees were chicken and salmon,and pulled pork sandwich. Waitresses were really nice.
Came in on Valentine's Sat and it was really busy and we had no reservations. But a sweet waitress found us a table
in the pool room and we enjoyed a great dinner.
